Tennessee Williams always writes his women characters with such depth. In this portrayal of Blanche from "A Street Car Named Desire", she is two birdies. Her crown is either seen as falling on or off. The pink bird is the way she sees herself as femme fatale. The birdie that she stands on is the broken Blanche, the one that has not flown on its on volition.
